Lehigh opened up the second half of its Patriot League slate Friday night, but the Mountain Hawks came up on the short end of a 3-0 match at Holy Cross. Game scores were 30-23, 30-27 and 30-27 as the Brown and White were plagued by serving errors, as they fall to 5-16 on the year, 0-8 in league matches. The win improves the Crusaders record to 6-14, 2-6 in the Patriot League.

The Mountain Hawks hit .104 for the match, but were hurt by errors all evening. Lehigh gave away a number of points committing 30 attack errors and 16 service errors in the loss. Michelle Schwendenmann had a match high 13 kills in 32 attempts, while Shannon Spafford added eight for the Mountain Hawks. Elizabeth McGehee had 33 assists for Lehigh, while Cassidy Maumus led the defensive effort with 14 digs.

The Crusaders hit .162 on the evening and committed only 16 attack errors. Caitlin O'Callaghan, Christine Strawson and Valerie Mora had eight kills apiece to lead Holy Cross.

Lehigh returns to the court on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks continue their two-day weekend road trip at Army. The match gets underway at 4:00 from West Point, N.Y.
