All seven full-time Patriot League members reported 100-percent graduation success in volleyball in the latest NCAA Graduation Success Rates (GSR) release. Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy reported 100-percent success rates of all student-athletes who entered college between 1996-99.

The NCAA released its first Graduation Success Rate (GSR) report for Fall 2006, and once again to no one's surprise, the Patriot League continues to be at the lead with 93 percent of its sponsored sports reporting 90 percent or better graduation rates. The report focuses on the four-year aggregate of classes that entered college between 1996-99.

In addition, 73 of the Patriot League's full-time members' teams reported 100-percent graduation rates in 17 sponsored sports (64 percent). In this release, the Patriot League's full-time membership does not include American, which did not join the Patriot League until 2000-01.

The Patriot League sponsors 23 sports, but the NCAA combines cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field as one for this report. The Patriot League did not begin sponsoring a championship in women's rowing until 2006.

Holy Cross, Lehigh and Bucknell are at the top with the most sports reporting 100-percent GSR as the Crusaders' athletic program led the way with 16 teams (out of 17 Patriot League sponsored sports for this report). Lehigh and Bucknell followed with 15 each.

All seven of the Patriot League's full-time members (1996-99) graduated 100-percent of its student-athletes in women's volleyball, while six of its full-time members graduated 100-percent in men's tennis.

The Patriot League's eight-member institutions combined for an average of 984.8 (out of 1,000) in the Patriot League's 23 sponsored sports in last April's NCAA's Academic Progress Report. The Patriot League has led Division I in overall Federal Graduation Rates in each of the last six years. In last year's GSR, the Patriot League achieved a 94.3-percent graduation rate of all its student-athletes entering in the fall of 1998.

The NCAA will release each institution's overall Federal Graduation Rate in October.
