BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Six student-athletes from the Lehigh volleyball program were named to the Patriot League's Academic Honor Roll, which was announced by the league on Wednesday. Sophomore setter Kathleen Lafferty led the Mountain Hawks with a 3.89 grade point average. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a GPA of 3.2 or better and receive a varsity letter in his or her sport.
Other Mountain Hawks named to the honor roll were seniors Nikky Barnes and Morgan Volkart; and juniors Cassidy Maumus, Michelle Schwendenmann and Courtney Cherry.
In all, 47 volleyball student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll. Holy Cross sophomore Christine Strawson was named the league's Scholar Athlete of the Year, as voted on by the league's sports information directors.
