Volleyball Drops Match To Bucknell, 3-0

Lewisburg, Pa.- The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Bucknell, 3-0, by scores of 30-22, 30-20 and 30-23, in Patriot League action, on Saturday evening at Davis Gym in Lewisburg, Pa. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 5-11 overall (1-3 PL), while the Bison improve to 10-6 overall (2-2 PL).

Junior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) dished out 27 assists and had six digs, while sophomore Christine Strawson (Torrington, N.Y.) led the team in kills with 10. Senior captain Caitlin O'Callaghan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and junior Valerie Mora (San Antonio, Texas) each had 10 digs to lead the team.

Bucknell were led by Sarah Groman, Kristen Sydlowski and Jenna Henderson who each had eight kills, while Jessica Le led the team in assists with 23. Chelsea Anderson registered 18 digs.

The Crusaders return to action when they host Patriot League foe American at the Hart Center on Friday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m.
