Two Patriot League Student-Athletes Participate In National Team Tryout
Two Army volleyball student-athletes were among over 160 top athletes from the United States to take part in the USA Women's National Volleyball Team Open Tryout at the world renowned U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Senior middle blocker Jamie Clark and junior setter Maureen Bannon competed at the tryout Feb. 20-22 for the right to play for their country.

Patriot League Announces Volleyball Academic Honor Roll
Army's Briana Stremick, the 2008 Patriot League Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is one of 44 volleyball student-athletes named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. A senior mechanical engineering major from Langdon, N.D., Stremick posted a 3.913 grade-point average in the fall. She was a candidate for a Rhodes Scholarship and was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America first team.

Patriot League Volleyball Release FINAL
The 2008 volleyball season concluded as it had for the past eight seasons, but with a slightly new twist. American University claimed its eighth consecutive Patriot League crown, and as a result, advanced to the NCAA Tournament. What was different for the Eagles was the lack of a travel itinerary. American became the first Patriot League team to host an NCAA Tournament match when the Eagles battled North Carolina. New ground was paved individually in the League, as well. American's Rubena Sukaj established Patriot League records for kills and aces, while Colgate's Jackie Adlam set the League mark for digs.

Two Patriot League Student-Athletes Recognized By AVCA
Two Patriot League student-athletes were recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association when the 2008 AVCA All-Region teams were announced on Wednesday. American University senior Rubena Sukaj was named to the All-Northeast Region team, while the United States Military Academy's Jamie Clark received honorable mention.
