Center Valley, Pa. - Fifty-one student-athletes were named to the 2008 Patriot League Softball Academic Honor Roll, announced Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich Wednesday. Bucknell's Lauren Trosch and Lehigh's Kate Marvel distinguished themselves as student-athletes on this year's list to earn 4.0 spring grade-point averages.

Another honoree on this year's academic honor roll is Bucknell's Erin Curatola who was the 2008 Patriot League Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The graduated Curtola recorded a 3.55 GPA during the spring as a mathematics major.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's 16 winter or spring championship sports. The criteria for awarding varsity letters are different at each institution.
