Bethlehem, PA - Lehigh set a new Patriot League record for most consecutive wins, defeating St. Peter's 5-2 for the squads 12th straight win. The Mountain Hawks move to 37-7, while the Peahens fall to 23-15.

Lehigh fell behind St. Peter's 2-0 in the early innings before rallying back to tie the game at 2-2 in the home half of the second. The Mountain Hawks would go on to post two runs in the fifth and a run in the sixth to cement the victory.

Jessica Young went 1-for-2 at the plate with a solo homerun and an RBI, Erin Hengemuhle posted a 2-for-3 afternoon with a run scored, and Stephanie Digneo banged a double that drove in two runs en route to the Mountain Hawks win.

Coach Troyan used every available pitcher on the afternoon and Kate Arico eventually picked up the decision, pitching two innings of one-hit ball. Emily Ling registered her third save of the year as she closed out the final two frames.

"We've been off since last Sunday," said head coach Fran Troyan. "That's tough when you are used to playing three doubleheaders a week to go seven days without a game. It was nice to get out and shake off some of the rust after a combined 60 finals this past week."

For St. Peter's, Kathryn Bucco took the loss to fall to 12-10 on the season. Bucco pitched only two innings, however, she yielded five hits and three runs. At the plate, Nikki Melchiorre and Teresa Wilson posted two hits each. Melchiorre's managed a double and a triple, while driving home a run. Also registering hits for the Peahens were Marsha Kelley, Aimee Barsalona, Candace Winder, Danielle Bronner, and Jessica Perez. Bronner scored a run, while Perez drove in a run.

Lehigh returns to action tomorrow in non-league, double-header action, on the road, at Princeton. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
