Blacksburg, VA - Lehigh improved its record to 8-3 on the season with an impressive 12-10 win over the Marist Red Foxes. With the loss Marist falls to 1-7.

The game was a see-saw affair that saw numerous lead changes. Lehigh saw strong statistical performances from Jenny Bender and Britt Swanson. Bender laced two doubles, while Swanson smacked her first homerun of the season, and scored the squad insurance run on the top half of the seventh inning. Also having a big game was Shana Treon, Stephanie Digneo, Kelly Kliewer, and Erin Hengemuhle. Kliewer and Digneo each registered three hits, while Treon and Hengemuhle each managed two.

Danielle Resovich earned her first win of the season and teammate Emily Ling came in to close the door for her first save of the season.

"Earlier today we did not play well defensively against St. Bonaventure," said head coach Fran Troyan. "We came back in this second game and hit the ball well. Defensively we played much better. Marist is a good team and I give them credit for not giving up and coming back numerous times. It was a fun game to be part of."

Lehigh returns to action Saturday to face both Virginia Tech and Youngstown State. The Tech game is slated to get underway at 1:00 p.m., while the Youngstown State game will follow at approximately 3:00 p.m.
