PHILADELPHIA - The Colgate softball team (7-2) bounced back with a sweep of a doubleheader against Drexel Sunday afternoon, 1-0 and 4-0.
In the opener, senior Elena Isaac (3-1) pitched a complete game shutout for the victory. She worked seven innings allowing six hits and striking out one. It was her 16th career shutout tying the school's all-time record.
Colgate's only run came in the fourth inning on Rachel Smith's RBI double. Nichole Rawson, Dorothy Donaldson and Danielle Soule had two hits apiece for the Raiders.
In the nitecap, sophomore Kate Howard picked up the victory, working five innings, while allowing one hit and striking out four. Freshman Kelsey Nordstrom pitched the final two innings allowing one hit and striking out three.
Colgate scored three times in the second inning on Nicole Rawson's RBI single and Mandi Perry's two-run single. The final run scored in the fifth inning on Erin Hanna's RBI single. Soule, Perry and Donaldson had two hits apiece for the Raiders.
