Patriot League Announces Softball Academic Honor Roll
Lehigh senior Lisa Sweeney, the 2009 Patriot League Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is one of 45 women's softball student-athletes named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Sweeney, a history major, earned a 3.88 GPA during the spring term. Also on the Academic Honor Roll are five student-athletes who earned spring GPAs of 4.0 or better, including Army's Chava Bobb, Bucknell's Jessie Snyder and Lauren Trosch, Colgate's Jessica Sabo and Lehigh's Alisha Gonzales.

No. 1 Florida Ends Lehigh's NCAA Regional Run
Lehigh's run through the Gainesville regional came to an end on Sunday as the top-ranked Florida Gators eliminated the Mountain Hawks with a 9-0 victory at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The Mountain Hawks hung tough with the tournament's No. 1 overall seed through three innings before the Gators erupted to score nine times in the final four frames. Florida moves on to the Super Regionals next weekend against California, while Lehigh's season comes to an end at 38-18-1.

Seven Patriot League Softball Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-District Honors
Seven Patriot League student-athletes were recognized as members of the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District team, which was selected last week. The honor is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) whose schools are in the region. To be eligible for the award, individuals must be at least a sophomore, as well as a starter or key reserve on her team with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.20.

Lehigh Wins Twice On Saturday To Set Up Showdown With Top-Ranked Florida
Lehigh advanced to the championship round of the NCAA Gainesville Regional with a pair of elimination-game wins at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks opened the day with a convincing 9-0, five-inning win over Florida A&M before eliminating Texas A&M from regional play for the second time in four years with a 3-2 victory. With the victories, Lehigh moves to 38-17-1 overall the Mountain Hawks move on to face Florida, the tournament's overall No. 1 seed on Sunday.
