CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Loyola women’s soccer goalkeeper Didi Haracic capped her collegiate career with an acrobatic leaping save to keep the Greyhounds alive in double-overtime against the Lafayette Leopards on Nov. 2.

Six weeks later, that play is being recognized as the 2013 Twitter Fan Vote Falls Sports Play of the Year after Haracic ran away with the votes online, as #SpeedyDidi was tweeted over and over again. The play was one of five nominated by the Patriot League to be up for the 2013 fan vote. Top 10 Plays of the Fall

The senior joined the PLN’s Melanie Pellowski (@MelPel_PLN) via Skype to talk about the big save, as well as her future plans on the soccer field. In 2013, Haracic started in 15 games, posting a 1.62 GAA with 85 saves and one shutout. For her career, she made 315 saves and posted 10 shutouts.
