NSCAA Division I All-America Team

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy women's soccer sophomore Jade Seabrook (St. Paris, Ohio/Graham HS) has been named to the NCAA Division I All-America Third Team, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recently announced.

Seabrook is the first women's player in Navy program history to earn NSCAA/Continental Tire Women's Soccer All-America honors and she is one of four defenders on the All-America Third Team.

Seabrook was named the 2012 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and also to the all-league first team. She was a two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week and was named to the Patriot League All-Tournament and Navy Invitational All-Tournament Teams.

Seabrook was the leader of Navy's defensive backline and helped Navy post nine shutouts and the league's best goals-against average (0.90). Seabrook led all field players with 1684 minutes played.

Seabrook also was a force on the offensive end as she tallied eight points on two goals and four assists.

The central defender scored Navy's biggest goal of the season, the game-winning tally in a 1-0 win at Army in the annual Army-Navy Star Game. Seabrook also scored against North Florida and had the primary assists on Navy's game-winning goals against Boise State and Lehigh.

Navy also received votes in the Soccer Times Women's Top 25 Final Regular Season Poll. Navy garnered five voting points in the national poll.

Patriot League Coach of the Year Carin Gabarra led Navy (19-2-1) to a Patriot League Regular Season Championship (6-0-1) and the team advanced to the league title game. Navy reeled off a 20-game unbeaten streak, which included a 15-game winning streak.
