Center Valley, Pa.- The Black Knights secured their spot in the 2008 Patriot League Tournament with a scoreless tie against archrival Navy on Friday, while the Mids secured their berth with a 3-2 overtime win over Holy Cross on Sunday. Bucknell and Colgate are in the driver's seat for the final two positions in the Tournament, but American is still in the mix for a spot as well. Student-athletes from Bucknell, Navy, Army and Holy Cross won Patriot League BRINE Player of the Week accolades.

Jennifer Dervarics, Bucknell Sr., F Emmaus, Pa.
Dervarics tallied six points last weekend in a sweep of Lehigh and Lafayette. In Friday's 2-0 win over Lehigh, Dervarics assisted on the game-winner, then in Sunday's 4-1 win at Lafayette, she scored the game's first two goals and assisted on an insurance tally in the second half.
BRINE Defensive Player of the Week
Carey Young, Navy Sr., D Virginia Beach, Va.
Young tied a career-high with two assists in the Midshipmen's 3-2 win at Holy Cross on Sunday. Young also played 107 minutes on the Navy backline in Sunday's contest. On Friday night, Young helped the Navy defense pitch a seventh-straight shutout, this time against archrival Army.
BRINE Goalkeeper of the Week
Alex Lostetter, Army So., GK Pittsburgh, Pa.
Lostetter recorded her sixth and seventh consecutive shutouts over the weekend to stretch her Patriot League mark to six straight blankings. Lostetter recorded a season-high nine saves in the defensive battle with Navy Friday night. Lostetter also made two saves in the first half against American when the Eagles outshot Army 7-1.
BRINE Rookie of the Week
Katherine Donnelly, Holy Cross Fr., M Londonderry,N.H.
Donnelly scored the game-tying goal in Friday afternoon's match against American. Donnelly also scored a goal and assisted on a second goal in Holy Cross' 3-2 double overtime loss to Navy. Donnelly is the Crusaders' team point leader and is eighth on the Holy Cross single-season goals list.

Army, Navy Qualify For Patriot League Tournament
The Black Knights secured their spot in the 2008 Patriot League Tournament with a scoreless tie against archrival Navy on Friday, while the Mids secured their berth with a 3-2 double overtime win over Holy Cross on Sunday. Army and Navy are tied for first place heading into the final weekend of action, with the Black Knights hosting Lehigh and the Mids traveling to Colgate. Navy controls its own destiny for the top seed in the Patriot League Tournament because of its +8 goal differential, which is three better than Army's +5.
Two Tournament Spots Still Up For Grabs
Bucknell and Colgate are in the driver's seat for the final two positions in the Patriot League Tournament, but American is still in the mix for a spot as well. The Eagles need to win at Bucknell on Saturday to earn a spot, while the Bison and Raiders only need to tie to clinch their tournament berths. Bucknell and Colgate are still in the hunt for the top seed in the Tournament.
Navy's Barnes Named Lowe's Senior CLASS Award Finalist
Navy's Lizzie Barnes is one of 10 finalists in the women's soccer division for the 2008 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. Barnes' name has been placed on the official ballot for a nationwide vote that began Oct. 16 and will conclude Nov. 19. Votes from coaches and media will be coupled with fan balloting to determine the recipient of the award. Fans can vote online during this time period at www.seniorclassaward.com. The winner will be announced during the NCAA Championship, December 5-7 in Cary, N.C.
Patriot League Tournament
The 2008 Patriot League Tournament will be held Friday and Sunday, November 7 and 9 at the site of the highest seed. The teams with the top four regular-season records will qualify for the Patriot League tourney.
Team Notebooks
American The Eagles received two great performances last week from goalie Kelsey Wiggins, as American tied Holy Cross 1-1 and had a scoreless tie with Army. The Eagles are now 2-1-3 in the Patriot League, and next face Bucknell in Lewisburg on Saturday.
Army Army is the only team in the Patriot League that is unscored upon in conference games. The Black Knights had two scoreless ties last weekend against archrival Navy and American. Six seniors and retiring Head Coach Gene Ventriglia will be honored at Army's last regular-season game Friday against Lehigh.
Bucknell The Bison hit the 10-win mark for the fourth year in a row, the longest streak in program history, with wins over Lehigh and Lafayette last weekend. Bucknell has two regular season games left on the docket, against Princeton and American.
Colgate The Raiders swept both Lafayette and Lehigh this weekend, getting two more shutouts from freshman goalie
Rebecca Michlin. Colgate is now 4-2-0 in Patriot League play and will host Navy on Saturday.
Holy Cross Holy Cross tied American 1-1 on Friday and lost a heartbreaker in double overtime to Navy, 3-2, on Sunday. The Crusaders are 1-4-1 in Patriot League action and will host Lafayette on Saturday in their final regular season game.
Lafayette The Leopards snapped their six-game scoreless streak with a goal in the 4-1 loss to Bucknell on Sunday. Lafayette's final game of the season will be in Worcester, where the Leopards hope to win their first Patriot League game of the season.
Lehigh Lehigh was swept in its final home games of the season, losing 2-0 to Bucknell and 1-0 to Colgate. The Mountain Hawks will look to improve their 5-10-1 overall record as they travel to West Point to take on Patriot League Tournament-qualifier Army.
Navy Navy improved to 13-3-3 overall and 4-0-2 in the Patriot League with a scoreless tie against archrival Army and a double overtime victory over Holy Cross. Head Coach Carin Gabarra will look to win her 200th game with the Mids as Navy travels to Colgate for a Patriot League showdown.
