Center Valley, Pa.- Patriot League squads started to differentiate themselves in the four games last weekend, ahead of a big Patriot League weekend in which each team will play two games. This weekend's slate of Patriot League games could help determine Patriot League Tournament qualification. Navy's Lizzie Barnes is one of 10 finalists in the women's soccer division for the 2008 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. Student-athletes from Bucknell, Navy, Army and Lehigh all took home BRINE Player of the Week awards.

BRINE Offensive Player of the Week
Chelsea McGorry, Bucknell Jr., F/M Charlton, Mass.
McGorry recorded her first multi-point game since her freshman season on Saturday in Bucknell's 3-1 win over Colgate. McGorry scored her second goal of the season early in the second half, which proved to be the game-winner. Later, just 18 seconds after Colgate cut Bucknell's lead to 2-1, McGorry delivered a perfect pass to Jennifer Dervarics for a big insurance goal.
BRINE Defensive Player of the Week
Shelly Moeller, Navy Jr., D Milford, Ohio
Moeller netted the game-winning goal in Navy's 2-0 victory over UMBC, while spearheading a Navy defense that posted two shutouts, including a scoreless tie with American, over the weekend. The goal was Moeller's fourth of the season, three of which have been game-winners. The Navy defense, led by Moeller, has now shut out six consecutive opponents.
BRINE Goalkeeper of the Week
Alex Lostetter, Army So., GK Pittsburgh, Pa.
Lostetter posted her third straight shutout in a 1-0 win over Holy Cross. It was Lostetter's second straight game with seven saves, with five coming in the second half. Lostetter made back-to-back stops within a span of 44 seconds in the second half to improve to 9-4 this season and record her fourth Patriot League shutout of the season.
BRINE Rookie of the Week
Ali MacLeod, Lehigh Fr., F Groton, Mass.
MacLeod scored the second goal in Lehigh's 2-0 win over archrival Lafayette. MacLeod scored the first goal by a Lehigh player in over 395 minutes, a span of four-plus games. The freshman now leads the team in scoring with two goals and four points this season.

Patriot League Weekend Wrap-Up
Patriot League squads started to differentiate themselves in the four games last weekend, ahead of a big Patriot League weekend in which each team will play two games. On Friday, Army beat Holy Cross 1-0 on a Sarah Goss penalty kick goal, while American and Navy played to a scoreless tie. Saturday, Lehigh handed archrival Lafayette a 2-0 loss, and Bucknell beat visiting Colgate 3-1 in Lewisburg. Army now finds itself alone atop the Patriot League standings with 12 points, followed by the Mids with 10 points. American (7), Bucknell (6), Colgate (6), Lehigh (3), Holy Cross (3) and Lafayette (0) round out the standings.
Navy's Barnes Named Lowe's Senior CLASS Award Finalist
Navy's Lizzie Barnes is one of 10 finalists in the women's soccer division for the 2008 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, the organization announced Thursday. Barnes' name has been placed on the official ballot for a nationwide vote that began Oct. 16 and will conclude Nov. 19. Votes from coaches and media will be coupled with fan balloting to determine the recipient of the award. Fans can vote online during this time period at www.seniorclassaward.com. The winner will be announced during the NCAA Championship, December 5-7 in Cary, N.C.
Patriot League Preview
This weekend's slate of Patriot League games could help determine Patriot League Tournament qualification, as all eight Patriot League teams will take to the pitch twice. Friday, American heads to Holy Cross to open up the weekend for a 3 p.m. match. Bucknell heads to Bethlehem to play Lehigh for a 7 p.m. match, while Colgate also travels down to the Lehigh Valley to take on Lafayette at 7 p.m. The marquee matchup of the weekend pits storied rivals and Patriot League leaders Army and Navy for a 7 p.m. match in West Point.
Sunday's matchups include Navy at Holy Cross, American at Army, Bucknell at Lafayette and Colgate at Lehigh.
Patriot League Tournament
The 2008 Patriot League Tournament will be held Friday and Sunday, November 7 and 9 at the site of the highest seed. The teams with the top four regular-season records will qualify for the Patriot League tourney.
Team Notebooks
American The Eagles had standout performances from Friederike Engel and Kelsey Wiggins in a scoreless tie with then-Patriot League-leading Navy. The Eagles continue their road trip this weekend as they visit Holy Cross on Friday and Army on
Saturday.
Army The Black Knights are on a six-game winning streak, with the last five wins as shutouts. Army's 11 wins are just one shy of the program record of 12, set in 2005. Army plays its final three games at home, starting with arch-rival Navy Friday night. Army's last win over the Mids came in 2005.
Bucknell A strong defensive effort by Amanda Citron helped the Bison beat visiting Colgate 3-1 on Saturday. Bucknell is now 2-2 in Patriot League play, and heads to the Lehigh Valley this weekend for matches against Lehigh and Lafayette.
Colgate Colgate is tied with Bucknell for fourth in the Patriot League after losing to the Bison 3-1. The Raiders also head to the Lehigh Valley this weekend for matches against Lafayette and Lehigh on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
Holy Cross The Crusaders lost 1-0 to Army on Friday on a penalty kick goal. The Crusaders will look to improve their 1-3 Patriot League record as they host American and Navy this weekend in Worcester.
Lafayette Lafayette is still looking for its first Patriot League win of the season, after dropping Saturday's match to archrival Lehigh, 2-0. The Leopards will host Colgate and Bucknell this weekend in Patriot League play.
Lehigh The Mountain Hawks notched their first Patriot League victory of the season over archrival Lafayette in Easton on Saturday. Lehigh will also host Bucknell and Colgate this weekend.
Navy With Sunday's win over UMBC, the Mids extend their unbeaten streak to eight games (7-0-1), a span in which they have outscored the opposition by an impressive 19-1 margin. The Mids have also shut out six straight opponents.
