The 1992 graduate of Notre Dame Academy remembers the time her Army team beat Colgate on their home field for the Patriot League women's soccer title in her sophomore year, 5-4.
In overtime. In the snow.
"That team my sophomore year was amazing," she said, thinking back. "We were 21-2 and we won a lot of games we shouldn't have won. It was one of those teams where we didn't necessarily have the best talent, but we had heart."
Albano has been invited back to West Point in September to be inducted in the Army Athletics Hall of Fame.
