Lehigh seniors Daniela Molina and Gina Lewandowski will graduate from Lehigh on Monday after spending their time in Bethlehem, Pa. as members of the Mountain Hawks' women's soccer team. Molina has already secured a job, while Lewandowski will be trying out for professional teams in Germany.
Molina, a mechanical engineering major, graduates with a 3.65 GPA, after finishing out her senior year with 23 spring semester credits. Molina originally thought she would stay an extra semester to finish up her course work and be able to play another season, after missing most of her freshman year due to injury, but changed her mind. The senior Mountain Hawk has a job as a field engineer at a New Jersey construction firm waiting for her.
''It truly shows what you can accomplish if you have the right mentality,'' Lehigh Head Coach Manny Oudin said about Molina accomplishments.
Lewandowski will try out for two teams in Germany, heading overseas on Thursday. The four-time All-Patriot League selection will receive a degree in biology.
'I'll go over and see where it takes me,'' Lewandowski said. ''It's just a leap of faith.''
