Patriot League Women's Soccer Academic Honor Roll
CENTER VALLEY, Pa.
- Patriot League women's soccer teams combined to place 147 student-athletes on the sport's Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the fall semester.
Lafayette led all schools with 22 student-athletes on the list, followed by American and Bucknell with 18 apiece. Colgate and Lehigh were next with 15, while newcomers Boston University and Loyola University Maryland had 14 honorees each, Holy Cross totaled 13, Army notched 10 and Navy recorded eight.
Each of the 11 student-athletes named to the Women's Soccer Academic All-Patriot League squad also received a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, including Navy senior Honors Oceanography major and 2013 Patriot League Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year Elizabeth Hoerner.
Hoerner was also one of eight student-athletes to achieve a 4.00 grade-point average in the fall semester. Others who hit the mark included American's Marley Jennings (Undeclared), Army's Jaclyn Kalik (Life Science), Holy Cross' Tricia Giglio (Biology) and Alyssa Heiser (Biology), Lehigh's Katie Gavalchin (Behavioral Neuroscience) and Darby Wiegand (Supply Chain Management) and Navy's Emily Tucker (Undeclared).
Student-athletes who made the honor roll for a fourth time to conclude their career included Hoerner, Kacik, Giglio, and Heiser as well as American's Katarina Kingston, Army's Molly McGuigan and Joey Molacek, Colgate's Klara Jenkins and Lehigh's Paige Dyrek.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the semester of their sport's competition.
