Patriot League Women's Soccer Academic Honor Roll Get Acrobat Reader

Center Valley, Pa. - Navy's Beth Reed, the 2009 Patriot League Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is one of 105 women's soccer student-athletes named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Reed, a senior mechanical engineering major, earned a 3.86 grade-point average for the fall term. She was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year and CoSIDA Women's Soccer Academic All-American of the Year. Her teammtes, Shelly Moeller and Eowyn Pedicini, earned perfect 4.0 grade-point-averages in the fall. A total of nine student-athletes achieved 4.0 GPAs, including American teammates Kelsey Brasher and Mikaila Weaver, Bucknell teammates Meghan Fitzpatrick, Lauren Stoller and Rosemary Walker, and Lafayette classmates Caitlin Kennedy and Stephanie Bereday.

American led all teams with 22 student-athletes on the honor roll, while Bucknell had 21. Lafayette placed 18 student-athletes on the list, followed by Lehigh (15), Holy Cross (10) and Colgate (7). Army and Navy each had six student-athletes honored.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.
