Simply Tenacious
You know you have done something remarkable when you win an award named in your honor. Colgate senior soccer player Kiki Koroshetz became the first winner of the Kiki Koroshetz Courage Award in December. The award was established after Koroshetz was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that attacks soft tissue and muscles in the body. Koroshetz was an obvious choice for the award after beating the disease and returning to the field for Colgate's run to the Patriot League Championship. MORE [+]

Where Are They Now? Lehigh's Anndrea Yetter
Anndrea Yetter graduated from Lehigh in 2008 after playing defense for the Mountain Hawks women's soccer team. Yetter's team role helped provide defensive support. Yetter's post-graduation life path differs from many recent college graduates. Shortly after graduating, Yetter began preparing for a journey that she says would later change her life. Yetter decided to live in South Africa for nine months as a member of an organization called Grassroots Soccer. MORE [+]

Any injury is a setback for athletes who strive for excellence. An injury requires time away from the team and time away from the sport that has meant everything to them. Such obstacles are never easy to fully recover from. However, the women's soccer captains have not only recovered but demonstrated unbelievable success after dealing with an athlete's worst nightmare: a torn ACL. Moeller Leads By Example For Navy
Shelly Moeller has had quite an eventful ride during her three-plus years at the Naval Academy, both on the soccer field and off. She has helped shape the Navy women's soccer program into not only the most successful in the Patriot League, but into one of the top teams year-in and year-out nationally. Huddle Up: Vote For Elizabeth Betterbed
Elizabeth Betterbed is the quintessential student-athlete. The 2006 Gig Harbor High School graduate -- currently a senior at Army in West Point, N.Y. -- is one of 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award in NCAA Division I women's soccer. Betterbed, who played soccer, basketball and competed in track in high school, leads the Black Knights in scoring and has been ranked No. 1 academically since her freshman year. MORE [+]

Mended and Menacing
Alyssa Manoogian admits she felt invincible when she played soccer for Peabody High. She would see other players go down with injuries and while she thought it was unfortunate, it never affected the way she played. Manoogian was healthy, strong and extremely talented. So talented that she was offered a scholarship to Division 1 Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y., even before she began her senior year of high school. Life went smoothly for Manoogian until Aug. 5, 2008. MORE [+]
