Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Tess Saxton-Fox

Center Valley, Pa. - One hundred and twenty six student-athletes have been named to this year's Patriot League Women's Rowing Academic Honor Roll, including 2012 Scholar-Athlete of the Year Tess Saxton-Fox of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
A senior Mechanical Engineering major, Saxton-Fox finished the spring semester with a 3.92 GPA.
Eleven Patriot League student-athletes posted 4.0 GPAs in the spring semester. Navy sophomores Katherine Ashton (Mechanical Engineering) and Kelsey Lee (Quantitative Economics) and freshmen Lily Van Steenberg (Naval Architecture) and Heather Bui (English) earned the mark along with Bucknell senior Jillian O'Mara (Biology) and freshman Margo Boyd (Undeclared), Colgate sophomores Annie Hines (Mathematical Economics) and Macy Warren (Psychology), Lehigh freshmen Corey Johnson (Engineering) and Alison Yirinec (Chemistry) and MIT sophomore Erin Meyer (Mechanical Engineering). All 11 Academic All-Patriot League members received honor roll recognition as well.
Bucknell, with 40 student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll, led all Patriot League schools for the third straight year. Holy Cross tallied 23 student-athletes for Honor Roll selection, while Navy placed 18 and MIT had 17.
To be eligible for the spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
