Four Patriot League Rowers Tabbed CRCA All-Region
May 28, 2008 CRCA 2008 All Region Rowing Team Four Patriot League rowers were named to the 2008 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team. Bucknell claimed three of those honorees, including Katherine Brewster-Duffy, Jennie Trayes and Caitlin Doolin. Navy rounded out the group with Fiona McFarland earning recognition. Brewster-Duffy was named CRCA All-Region for the second year in a row and was a CRCA All-American in 2007. She was an All-Patriot League selection this season following Bucknell's third-straight Patriot League Championship win. Trayes joined Brewster-Duffy as an All-Patriot League honoree and is being honored by the CRCA for the first time in her career. Brewster-Duffy and Trayes were both first-team selections by the CRCA, while teammate Doolin made it on the second team for her first-career CRCA All-Region mention. McFarland was named CRCA All-Region for the second time in her career and for the first time on the first team. She was a second-team honoree in 2006. McFarland became the Patriot League's first-ever three-time All-Patriot League selection this season. The Patriot League first sponsored a rowing All-League team in 2006. The Patriot League has had 16 CRCA All-Region picks since it added rowing as the League's 23rd sport for the 2004-05 academic year. The League has had at least two honorees the last four years.
