Worcester, Mass. - Bucknell was crowned champion at the 2007 Patriot League Rowing Championship, winning the title for the second year in a row by sweeping all three events that took place on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday. The Bison garnered 30 points to take first place, while Navy took runner-up honors with 24 points. Colgate finished third with 16 points, while Holy Cross and Lehigh tied for fourth with 10 points each.

Bucknell's Stephen Kish was voted the 2007 Patriot League Coach of the Year, earning the honor for the second-consecutive year. The winning boat in the First Varsity Eight race is deemed the Patriot League Boat of the Year, making Bucknell the victor of that award in back-to-back seasons.

In the First Varsity Eight race, Bucknell finished first in a time of 6:34.47, with Navy (6:39.53), Colgate (6:48.94), Lehigh (6:56.17) and Holy Cross (7:05.88) finishing behind the Bison in that order. The 2007 All-Patriot League Team will be announced this coming week. The All-Patriot League Team is made up of 11 student-athletes, with at least one representative from each school, and is based on how each school finished at the championship.
