ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy senior rowers Michelle Romero and Alexandra Lado were selected to the All-Patriot League Teams, it was announced by the conference office on Thursday. The pair, which are part of Navy's varsity eight boat, helped the Mids to second place at last weekend's Patriot League Championship in Worcester, Mass.

For Romero, it marks the second consecutive season she has been named to the All-Patriot League first-team. The Los Angles, Calif., native is this year's team captain and has rowed with the varsity eight boat since last season.

Lado, a native of Orwigsburg, Pa., picked up her first-career conference honor was she was named to the All-Patriot League second-team.

The conference's six head coaches selected the 2011 All-Patriot League teams.

Navy's varsity eight boat finished in third place at last weekend's Patriot League Championship - less than four seconds behind first-place Bucknell. In the varsity four race, the Midshipmen claimed their second consecutive title and fourth overall.

Navy will be back on the water this weekend when it travels to West Windsor, N.J., for the ECAC Mid-Atlantic/New England Region Championship.
