Three Patriot League Institutions Honored For Academics By IWLCA

Center Valley, Pa. - The American, Bucknell and Colgate women's lacrosse teams have been honored for their academic and athletic performance with Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Squad distinctions.

These institutions all placed at least 10 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. American placed 13 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Honorees included rising senior Kira Sonberg, an elementary education major who earned a 3.94 grade-point-average in the spring semester.

Bucknell rising sophomore Christina Garman paced the 10 Bison placed on the Patriot League Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average in the spring semester.

The Raiders also placed 13 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, including rising junior Lizzy Nolan. She earned a 3.75 spring semester grade-point-average.

Teams that have a collective GPA of 3.0 or greater earn the distinction of Academic Squad.
