Center Valley, PA - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has honored four Patriot League student-athletes with the naming of their annual All-Region teams. Lehigh sophomore Lauren Dykstra was selected to the first team in the Mid-Atlantic region, Bucknell senior Bonnie Buechel was selected to the Mid-Atlantic second team, and Colgate teammates senior Maddie Kearns and sophomore Colleen Bubnack were selected to the Northeast region second team.

The 2009 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, Dykstra led the country in ground balls this past season, while ranking fifth in goals and 25th in points. The business major becomes Lehigh's first All-Region selection since 1996, and the Patriot League's only first team selection.

Buechel, the senior mid-fielder from Bucknell is just the third student-athlete to earn All-Region recognition in program history. This acknowledgement comes on top of four consecutive All-League honors for the senior who produced career highs in goals (44) and points (54) in her last season. Buechel finished her career with 129 goals, 42 assists and 171 points and is ranked second on the Bucknell all-time points list.

The graduating senior from the Patriot League Champion Raiders, Kearns continues to receive accolades for her outstanding play this season. Named the 2009 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, she started all 19 games for the Raiders and posted 20 points on 14 goals and six assists, and completed her career with 40 goals and 17 assists in 74 games. She ranks seventh on the all-time draw control list at Colgate with 81. Her teammate, Colleen Bubnack is a first team all league selection and was named the Patriot League Tournament MVP. She completed this season with 62 points on 34 goals and 28 assists. The rising junior finished one assist and one draw control (49) away from tying the single-season records in those categories.
