Center Valley, Pa. (April 21, 2007) -- Lehigh University clinched the final spot of the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Championship following a 10-9 double overtime triumph over American University Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa. With the win, the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh moved into a second-place tie with the American Eagles, but own the tiebreaker by virtue of Saturday's win. The two teams square off again on Friday, April 27 in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, defending Patriot League champion Holy Cross is the top-seeded squad and host. The Crusaders, who went undefeated in Patriot League play this season (5-0), face #4 Colgate in the first semifinal contest on Friday at Hart Turf in Worcester, Mass.

The Raiders won the tiebreaker over Bucknell with its 13-9 regular-season victory over the Bison. Both teams ended the regular season with 2-3 records in Patriot League play.
