CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Patriot League honored Loyola junior attack Hannah Schmitt with the Rockin' Refuel® Performance of the Week award after helped the Greyhounds upend then-No. 6 Virginia 16-12 in their season opener Saturday.
Schmitt scored six goals in the win, including five during a 13-3 run that turned a 5-2 first half deficit into a 15-8 advantage with 5:40 left in the game. Schmitt added a sixth goal to make it 16-11 and end a short 3-0 run by Virginia.
Schmitt joined Patriot League Network correspondent Melanie Pellowski via Skype to talk about her team’s big win and her six goals in this Rockin’ Refuel interview.
