EASTON, Pa. - The Leopards trailed by only one goal at halftime, but Columbia outscored Lafayette 9-3 in the second half to pull away for a 15-8 win on Sunday afternoon. Lauren Brown and Andrea Corpora both netted two goals apiece for the Leopards.

Six different players scored goals for the Leopards, who were narrowly edged 28-24 in total shots. Lafayette (0-4) won 14 draw controls to the Lions' 11. Goalie Emily Bjork played all but the final 10 minutes for the Leopards and recorded seven saves. Freshman Alexa Biale made two saves her 10 minutes of action.

Columbia's Brittany Shannon netted six goals for the Lions (2-0), five of which came in the second half. Holly Glenn finished with three scores.

Lafayette fell into a 3-0 hole just seven minutes into the game but responded with three unanswered scores from Lauren Curley, Michaela Corn and Brown. Columbia went up by two (6-4) after Shannon's first goal of the game with less than two minutes to play, but Andrea Corpora came through with a goal with 19 seconds on the clock to make it a one-goal game at halftime.

Margaux LeBuffe tied the game at seven-all after she scored the second of two straight Lafayette goals with 22 minutes remaining in the game. Shannon broke the tie less than a minute later, however, and sparked a 7-0 Lions run that put the game out of Lafayette's reach.
