CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Both Patriot League field hockey major award winners earned high praise on Monday when they were named All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

American senior Shelly Montgomery earned a second-team All-America honor, while Boston University senior Ysi Schieb was placed on the third team. Montgomery finished with 10 goals and four assists for the Patriot League champion Eagles, while Schieb put up three goals and seven assists for the Terriers. They were two of 11 NFHCA All-Region picks from the Patriot League, where both were first-team selections along with American's Grace Wilson.

It is the first time since 2010 where multiple Patriot Leaguers were named NFHCA All-Americans. Lafayette's Deanna DiCroce was the most recent selection with a spot on the third team last year.
