These four years have been momentous years for the field hockey program at Lafayette and Lafayette's two seniors have had significant roles in it's success.

They were in the first recruiting class for new coach Andrew Griffiths, and given their abilities and character on the field and off, he chose well.

Both seniors graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy and are now in their eighth year of being teammates. Colleen McGowan and Carolyn Cabrey have used their considerable gifts to take advantage of every opportunity that Lafayette has afforded them. The field hockey team has benefited from their on field skills by making the patriot league tournament every year they have been there, and for a majority of those tournament appearances they had a chance at the Patriot League championship.

This year they have already attained at least a tie for the regular season crown and if they have anything to say about it, this will be the year they can add an outright title and an appearance in the NCAA tournament as well. These popular co-captains will be attempting to lock in the home field advantage this Saturday at Rappolt Field by beating American University.
