Center Valley, Pa. - Saturday's Patriot League field hockey schedule features the first home League contest for American and Lehigh, as well as the final home outing of the season for Colgate. The Eagles put their 2-0 League mark on the line against Bucknell, while Lehigh goes for its first League triumph against Lafayette, which is looking to move to 3-0. Colgate plays its third consecutive home League matchup when it faces Holy Cross.

Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 6-12)
Corinne Raczek, Bucknell
So, F, Ocean Township, N.J.
Raczek tallied a goal and an assist in Bucknell's 2-1 victory over Lehigh on Saturday. She pulled Bucknell into a tie with her first-career goal 13:45 into the second half, and then assisted on the game-winner with 1:27 to play in the game. It was her 10th assist of the season, tying Bucknell's single-season record.
Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 6-12)
Jaclyn DiSanti, Lafayette
Sr., M/D, Fairfield, N.J.
DiSanti was part of a Lafayette defense that held Holy Cross without a single shot or penalty corner in a 1-0 Leopard victory on Saturday. She also recorded an assist on Lafayette's goal, her 10th of the season. DiSanti notched a defensive save in Lafayette's 1-0 loss to Columbia on Wednesday. It is her second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the year.
Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week (Oct. 6-12)
Erin Singleton, Holy Cross
Sr., GK, Amesbury, Mass.
Singleton had a strong week in nets for the Crusaders, stopping 30 of 34 shots she faced while leading Holy Cross to a 1-2 record. She had seven saves in a 2-1 overtime win over Stanford on Monday, and recorded nine saves in a 1-0 loss to Lafayette on Saturday. Singleton finished the week with a career-high 14 saves in a 2-1, overtime loss to Columbia on Sunday. Singleton has made 94 saves this season.
Patriot League Rookie of the Week (Oct. 6-12)
Tatum Dyer, American
Fr., D, Wyndham, N.H.
Dyer receives her third Rookie of the Week honor after playing all 70 minutes on defense in each of No. 20 American's contests over the weekend. She helped the Eagles to a 2-0 shutout victory over Colgate on Saturday, and went the whole way in a 3-1 loss to No. 2 Syracuse on Sunday.

Maggie Condon, Lafayette
Sr., M, Lake Bluff, Ill.
Condon scored the game-winning goal in Lafayette's 1-0 victory at Holy Cross. She has the game-winning tally in six of Lafayette's nine wins this year, including both Patriot League contests.
Ann van Erp, American
So., D, Hilversum, Netherlands
Van Erp notched an assist and helped post a shutout in American's 2-0 win over Colgate, and also had an assist in a 3-1 loss to No. 2 Syracuse.

American and Lafayette Pull Into First-Place Tie
No. 20 American and Lafayette each won their second consecutive Patriot League contest on Saturday to maintain a share of first place at 2-0 in League action. The Eagles earned a 2-0 shutout at Colgate, while Lafayette went to Worcester and shut out Holy Cross, 1-0. Bucknell rallied from a 1-0 deficit with two second-half goals, including the game-winner with 1:27 left, in a 2-1 victory over Lehigh. The Bison and Raiders are tied for third place in the League at 1-1, while the Crusaders and Mountain Hawks sit at 0-2.
Challenging Non-League Matchups Coming Up
There are only four non-League contests scheduled this week, but two of those come up against teams in the top 10 of the most recent STX/NFHCA top 20. Bucknell hosts No. 10 Penn State on Tuesday, while Holy Cross is at newly-crowned No. 1 Syracuse on Sunday. Patriot League teams are 2-9 against top 20 competition this season.
Schickhardt Continues to Shine
After receiving Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 6, AmeriAmerican senior Irene Schickhardt received the same plaudits from the ECAC two days later. Schickhardt had a five-goal, one-assist weekend in two American victories on Oct. 4-5. She now has 117 points in her career, good for fifth in League annals. She is up to third in League history with 35 assists, and her 41 goals rank ninth.
Two More for Patriot League Career Leaderboard
American junior goalkeeper Alyssa Poorman notched another shutout on Saturday at Colgate, placing her in a tie for seventh in League annals with 12 career blankings. Bucknell senior Amanda Faust recorded her 31st career assist in the Bison's 2-1 win over Lehigh, putting her in sole possession of fifth place in League history.
2008 Patriot League Championship
The 2008 Patriot League Field Hockey Championship will be held Friday-Saturday, Nov. 7-8 at the site of the highest seed. Two semifinal games will take place on Friday, Nov. 7 with the No. 1 seed facing the No. 4 seed and the No. 2 seed facing the No. 3 seed. The championship game will be played on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Team Notebooks
American No. 20 American moved to 2-0 in the Patriot League with a 2-0 victory at Colgate on Saturday, and fell, 3-1, at No. 2 Syracuse on Sunday. Savannah Graybill had the game-winner against the Raiders, while Ann van Erp had an assist in both games. Alyssa Poorman recorded the 12th shutout of her career against Colgate, good for a tie for seventh place in Patriot League history. American has a pair of home contests this weekend, taking on Bucknell in a Patriot League matchup on Saturday and hosting Towson on Sunday.
Bucknell Bucknell came from behind for a 2-1 win over Lehigh on Saturday to move to 1-1 in Patriot League action. Corinne Raczek scored the equalizer 13:45 into the second half, and assisted on Kelly Bruvik's game-winner with 1:27 to play in the contest. Raczek has now tied Bucknell's single-season assist record with 10. The Bison take on a very challenging week, hosting No. 10 Penn State on Tuesday and going on the road to face No. 20 American and Georgetown over the weekend.
Colgate Colgate saw its five-game winning streak come to an end with a 6-4 loss to Cornell on Thursday, and slipped to 1-1 in the Patriot League with a 2-0 loss to American on Saturday. The Raiders had been 4-0 at home coming into the week. Lauren Carey scored two goals in the loss to Cornell, bringing her to a tie for third in Colgate history with 30 career goals. She also moved into a tie for second on the Raiders' all-time list with 71 points. Colgate hosts Holy Cross on Saturday, marking the final home game for its four seniors.
Holy Cross Holy Cross lost a pair of home games over the weekend, falling 1-0 to Lafayette on Saturday and 2-1 in overtime against Columbia on Sunday. The Crusaders did earn a 2-1, overtime win over Stanford on Oct. 6. Erin Singleton had a career-high 14 saves against Columbia, and notched nine saves against Lafayette. She has 94 saves this year and a goals against average of 2.72. Holy Cross has a tough weekend ahead in Central New York, visiting Colgate on Saturday and facing No. 1 Syracuse on Sunday.

Lafayette held Holy Cross without a single shot or penalty corner. The victory snapped a six-game series losing streak against the Crusaders. The last win had come in the Patriot League Championship in 2002. Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Andersen made eight saves in the loss to Columbia. Lafayette travels to archrival Lehigh for a Patriot League matchup on Saturday.
Lehigh Lehigh fell at Bucknell, 2-1, on Saturday in Patriot League action. The Mountain Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Kalynn Davies. Lehigh returns home to face Lafayette on Saturday after losing all five games on its road trip. It is the first home contest for the Mountain Hawks since Sept. 20.
