Lafayette student-athlete Kelsey Andersen was honored by the Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (LVAIAW) at a luncheon on Tuesday afternoon. Andersen was named Lafayette's Most Outstanding Athlete Award.
Andersen, who was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Mideast All-Region First Field Hockey Team also picked up Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year honors and was named to the All-Patriot League First Team. She was a recipient of three weekly conference honors this season as Goalkeeper of the Week (9/8, 9/21, 10/26).
Andersen, a Biology major, was a key component to the Leopards defense, Andersen led the league in goals-against average (0.85), fewest goals allowed (16), save percentage (.795) and shutouts (8).
