Patriot League Field Hockey Academic Honor Roll
CENTER VALLEY, Pa.
- All six schools were well-represented as Patriot League field hockey teams combined to place 70 student-athletes on the sport's Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the fall semester.
American led all schools with 16 honorees, followed by Lehigh (13), Colgate (12), Lafayette (11), Bucknell (10), and Holy Cross (8).
Ten of the 11 student-athletes named to the Field Hockey Academic All-Patriot League squad also received a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, including Bucknell senior Accounting major and 2012 Patriot League Field Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year Tayler Siegrist. Eighteen of the 22 All-Patriot League selections were named to the Academic Honor Roll, with nine of those student-athletes also receiving a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League squad.
Included in that group was American junior Jaclyn Anspach, a Health Promotion major who was one of three student-athletes to earn a 4.00 grade-point average in the fall. Bucknell freshman Abby Watson (Civil Engineering) and Lehigh freshman Katherine Koomar (Arts and Sciences) also recorded a 4.00 GPA in the fall semester.
Siegrist concluded her outstanding career at Bucknell as a four-time selection to the Patriot League Field Hockey Academic Honor Roll. Lafayette's Emily Valeo and Jaclyn White, Colgate's Elaine Thurman and Lehigh's Brittany Johnson also finished as four-time honorees.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
