Patriot League Field Hockey Academic Honor Roll Get Acrobat Reader

Center Valley, Pa. - All 11 student-athletes named to the Field Hockey Academic All-Patriot League Team in November are among the 65 to earn a spot on the sport's Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the fall semester.

The group includes Lehigh senior Abby Tilton, who was named the 2011 Patriot League Field Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Tilton recorded a 3.93 grade-point average in the fall as an IDEAS (Integrated Degree in Engineering, Arts and Sciences) major.

Three student-athletes earned 4.00 grade-point averages for the semester, with Bucknell senior Mallory Smith, a Biology major, doing so for the second consecutive fall. American senior Natalie Ellenberger, a Health Promotion major, and Holy Cross senior Kirsten Walther, an English major, also recorded a 4.00 GPA during the fall semester.

Sixteen student-athletes who received All-Patriot League recognition also made the Academic Honor Roll.

American and Bucknell led the way with 14 Academic Honor Roll recipients, while Holy Cross and Lehigh followed with 10, Lafayette had nine and Colgate totaled eight.

To be eligible for the Field Hockey Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.
