PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Leopards traveled to Philadelphia for the second time in five days and suffered their second loss this week, falling to La Salle, 2-1.

Lafayette's offense started early with La Salle's Ellen Axelsen forced to make a save on sophomore Caitlin Titus's shot at 5:19. Sophomore Kara Harpel put one the board for La Salle beating senior goalie Courtney Dixon at 32:48 in the first.

Rookie goalkeeper Kelsey Andersen went in the cage for Lafayette when a penalty shot was called for the Explorers. Junior Maria Allegretto capitalized on the opportunity putting the ball past Andersen and giving La Salle a 2-0 lead.

The Maroon and White did not give up as junior Maggie Condon scored with 1:44 left, cutting La Salle's lead in half, with an unassisted goal.

Lafayette (4-2) returns to Rappolt Field on Wednesday, hosting Saint Joseph's at 7 p.m.
