CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League women's basketball season is underway as the Army Black Knights have rolled out to an 8-1 start in non-League play.

Senior Anna Simmers has led the way with 15.6 points per game, which ranks third in the League, but she's only one of two seniors in the top-20 in scoring. The rest are underclassmen, with the majority residing in the sophomore and junior classes.

The 2011-12 season saw several sophomores land on the All-League teams and they return this year to continue the youth movement in the Patriot League.

The Patriot League interviewed all eight coaches prior to the season to talk about their teams, and several coaches weighed in on the standout sophomores and juniors playing in the League this season.
