Center Valley, Pa.--Seven of eight Patriot League teams are in action this weekend, including Lafayette, which will conclude a stretch of four games in seven days. The lone Patriot League squad without a game on the weekend slate is Bucknell. Lehigh still holds the top record in the Patriot League heading into the weekend, despite a mid-week loss to Big East power Syracuse.

In Review Lehigh still holds the top record among Patriot League teams, despite a 69-60 loss at Big East power Syracuse, snapping the Mountain Hawks' four-game winning streak. American improved to 5-3 with a 26-point road win over Maryland-Eastern Shore. The Eagles have now won back-to-back games after dropping three straight. After opening the season with three straight road wins, Bucknell is now 3-3 after after three consecutive losses. The Bison fell to Towson, 62-51, on Wednesday. Navy dipped below .500 with a road loss to Maryland-Baltimore County. Army moved to 3-4 with a 69-54 win over Albany, giving the Black Knights back-to-back victories. Lafayette remained undefeated at home with an overtime triumph against Penn on Wednesday. That followed a road loss at the hands of Marist. Colgate fell to 2-6 with a loss at Wagner. Holy Cross was dealt a 96-37 loss by No. 1 Connecticut on Wednesday.

On Deck Lehigh will look to get back on the winning track with a pair of weekend contests. The Mountain Hawks will host Bryant on Friday before traveling to Villanova for a Sunday battle with the Wildcats. American will attempt to build on its current two-game winning streak with a Sunday duel against Rhode Island. Navy will try to even its record on Friday at Penn. Army will become the third Patriot League team to square off against Drexel when the Black Knights and Dragons meet on Friday in Philadelphia. Lafayette will host NJIT and Bryant in weekend action. The Leopards will face the Highlanders on Friday before meeting the Bulldogs on Sunday. Colgate will also host a pair of home games. The Raiders will welcome New Hampshire to Cotterell Court on Friday. Penn will then battle the Raiders in Hamilton, N.Y. on Sunday. Holy Cross will be the lone Patriot League team in action on Satruday. The Crusaders will travel to Burlington, Vt. for a 1 p.m. match-up with the Vermont Catamounts. Bucknell will be the only Patriot League squad without a game this weekend.

Team Notebooks

American After dropping three straight games, the Eagles have rediscovered their stride with two consectuive wins. American went on the road to defeat Maryland-Eastern Shore on Tuesday. Nine different players scored for American to help the Eagles knock off the Lady Hawks. American will spend the weekend at home. The Eagles will battle Rhode Island on Sunday.

Army The Black Knights improved to 3-4 with a home win against Albany. Sophomore forward Erin Anthony scored a career-high 17 points while junior forward Megan Evans chipped in with her first double-double of the season (14 points, 10 rebounds) in the victory. The Black Knights will travel to Philadelphia for a Friday match-up against Drexel. The team will remain in Philadelphia to attend Saturday's Army-Navy game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Bucknell After opening the season with three straight wins, the Bison now sit at .500 after three straight losses. The Bison dropped a 62-51 decision to Towson on Wednesday to fall to 3-3. One game after scoring her 1,000th career point, senior Amanda Brown led the Bison with 22 poitns against the Tigers. Bucknell will be the lone Patriot League team without a contest this weekend.

Colgate The Raiders fell to 2-6 with a loss to Wagner on Monday. Wagner's John'a Poole sank a shot with 1.2 seconds left in overtime to hand the Raiders their second consecutive loss. Junior guard Katie Garman led Colgate with 13 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists. The Raiders will be at home for a pair of games this weekend. Colgate will welcome New Hampshire on Friday before squaring off against Penn on Sunday.

Holy Cross On Wednesday, the Crusaders were dealt a 86-37 loss by the nation's top-ranked team, Connecticut. Junior guard Briana McFadden, the Patriot League's leading scorer, paced the Crusaders with 10 points against the Huskies. Holy Cross will be the only Patriot League team in action on Saturday. The Crusaders will travel to the Green Mountain State to battle Vermont.

Lafayette The Leopards went 1-1 during the week. Lafayette was topped by Marist in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Monday. The Leopards rebounded to claim an overtime win over Penn on Wednesday. Three players scored in double-figures as Lafayette claimed its second win in three games. All of the Leopards' wins have come at home, while all of Lafayette's losses have been away from the Allan P. Kirby Sports Center. The Leopards will attempt to maintain their perfect home record with a pair of games this weekend. Lafayette will host NJIT on Friday before welcoming Bryant on Sunday.

Lehigh Despite a loss to Big East power Syracuse, Lehigh maintained the top record in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks' 69-60 loss to the Orange snapped a four-game Lehigh winning streak. Alex Ross paced the Mountain Hawks with 15 points, while Kristen Dalton added 13 points off the bench. Lehigh will host Bryant on Saturday afternoon.

Navy The Mids dipped below .500 with a 85-77 loss to Maryland-Baltimore County on Wednesday. Sophomore center Cassie Consedine produced her League-leading third double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. Navy will attempt to even its record with a Friday match-up againt Penn. The Mids will remain in Philadelphia for Saturday's Army-Navy football game.
