CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – A pair of frontcourt performers were honored Monday with weekly honors from the Patriot League as Navy’s Jade Geif and Lehigh’s Kerry Kinek were named the Anaconda Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for the Nov. 19-25 period.
Geif, the reigning two-time Patriot League Tournament MVP, picks up her first career Anaconda Player of the Week honor, while Kinek earns her first Rookie of the Week nod in the third week of competition.
Geif leads Navy into the only game Monday night involving a Patriot League team. The Mids visit rival Air Force at 9 p.m. Army visited the Falcons Friday and won 72-68.
Kinek and Lehigh will be in action Thursday with a 7 p.m. tip at Villanova.

ANACONDA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JADE GEIF, NAVY Jr., F, Lakeville, Minn.
Geif was instrumental during a 2-1 week for Navy, as the Mids picked up victories over Loyola Maryland and Jackson State, and came just four points away from a perfect period. She posted three double-doubles on the week, scoring 13 points with 10 rebounds in the 71-60 victory over the Greyhounds Tuesday, and logging 12 points and 10 boards in Saturday’s 72-48 walloping of Jackson State. She scored 17 points and hauled down 12 rebounds in the Mids’ hard-luck 66-63 overtime loss Friday to UC Davis. For the week, Geif averaged 14 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, and her five dishes against Jackson State were one away from tying her career high. It’s Geif’s first career Anaconda Player of the Week honor, and her first weekly award since being named the top rookie Feb. 28, 2011.
ANACONDA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KERRY KINEK, LEHIGH Fr., F, Whitehall, Pa.
Kinek picks up her first career weekly honor after averaging 14.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over three games last week for Lehigh. The forward from Whitehall, Pa., shot 51 percent (19 of 37) for the week, and started by pouring in 17 points with five rebounds and five blocks in the Mountain Hawks’ 49-48 loss to La Salle Tuesday. In her next outing she tallied her second career double-double with 17 points on 8-of-15 shooting with 12 boards in Friday’s 78-53 win over Wagner in the Thanksgiving Challenge. She wrapped up the week with nine points and nine rebounds in Sunday’s 55-50 double-overtime loss to Monmouth. Kinek is Lehigh’s first Anaconda Rookie of the Week since Emily Gratch at the end of the 2008-09 season.
OLIVIA SCHRETZMAN, ARMY So., F, Dayton, Ohio
Schretzman averaged 15.0 points and 9.5 rebounds across two Army victories last week in the Mountain Time Zone. She scored 18 points with 10 boards in a 72-68 win at Air Force.
ALYSSA DUNN, BUCKNELL Sr., G, Mason, Ohio
Dunn averaged 19.0 points per game and was a perfect 17 of 17 from the charity stripe last week for the Bison, who went 2-0 and nudged above .500 for the first time since 2008-09. She tallied a career-high 23 points in Wednesday’s 77-69 win over Niagara.
ALEX SMITH, HOLY CROSS Jr., G, Delran, N.J.
Smith hit the go-ahead trey with 50 seconds remaining as Holy Cross snapped a three-game slide with Sunday’s 63-59 win at Massachusetts. She averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in two outings last week.
EMILY HOMAN, LAFAYETTE So., F, Upper Darby, Pa.
Homan averaged 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game during the Leopards’ 1-1 week. She had 12 points and nine boards with two blocks in Sunday’s 64-45 win over Wagner.
