Baden Player of the Week (Nov. 10-Nov. 16)
Erica Prosser, Lehigh So., G, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Prosser averaged 18 points in two games, helping the Mountain Hawks to a 1-1 weekend record. Prosser scored 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting in the Mountain Hawks' 83-52 win over Penn. She knocked down a pair of three-pointers against the Quakers, while also recording four assists and two steals. Her 16 points against the Quakers helped the Mountain Hawks establish a new school-record for points in a season-opener. Against Saint Joseph's, the sophomore guard poured in 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting.
Baden Rookie of the Week (Nov. 10-Nov. 16)
Candice Green, Colgate Fr., G, Brunswick, N.J.
Green averaged nine points in a pair of contests. In her first collegiate outing, Green paced Colgate with a team-high 10 points against Mount St. Mary's. She finished 3-of-6 from the field and knocked down both of her three-point attempts. She also connected on both of her free throw attempts. She played all 40 minutes in the Raiders' loss to Rider, finishing with eight points, three assists and a block.
Honorable Mention Performances Last Week
Michelle Kirk, American So., G/F, Painted Post, N.Y.
Kirk helped American to a pair of victories, averaging 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. She scored a career-high 20 points against Drexel. She shot 9-of-13 and made three steals in 27 minutes against the Dragons.
Erin Anthony, Army So., F, Allentown, Pa.
Anthony led Army in scoring in a pair of losses. She averaged 14 points in both contests, which is one shy of a career-high. She also averaged 4.5 rebounds and drained her first career three-pointer.
Amanda Brown, Bucknell Sr., G, Richardson, Texas
Brown scored 22 points and dished out six assists in Bucknell's road win over George Mason. She knocked down 4-of-7 three-point attempts and sank all four of her free throw attempts.
Sami Kozlowski, Colgate So., G, New Market, Md.
Kozlowski averaged 14 points in two contests last week. She poured in 26 points against Rider. Kozlowski knocked down 5-of-6 three-pointers against the Broncs and connected on all five free throw attempts. She also averaged three rebounds and three assists.
Briana McFadden, Holy Cross Jr., G, Wheaton, Md.
McFadden had 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the Crusaders' loss to Yale. She made 12-of-13 free throw attempts to lead Holy Cross in scoring.
Emily Garner, Lafayette Sr., F, Fairfax Station, Va.
Garner finished two rebounds shy of a double-double, closing with 13 points and eight rebounds against Middle Tennessee State in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT. She also added an assist and a steal.
Whitney Davidson, Navy Sr., G, New Oxford, Pa.
Davidson averaged 12 points and two rebounds as Navy went 1-1 on opening weekend. She made 7-of-8 free throws while scoring a team-high 15 points in the Mids' win over Howard on Sunday.

Patriot League Roundup
American University garnered a pair of victories during the first weekend of play. The Eagles went on the road to defeat NJIT before picking up an impressive home win over Drexel on Sunday. Also unbeaten after the first weekend of action is defending League champion Bucknell, which topped George Mason in Fairfax, Va. Two other League teams picked up wins over the weekend: Lehigh and Navy. The Mountain Hawks routed Penn before falling at home to Saint Joseph's. Navy rebounded from a home loss to Ohio to edge Howard on Sunday in Washington, D.C. Still looking for their first wins after one weekend of competition are Lafayette, Army, Colgate and preseason favorite Holy Cross. Lafayette fell on the road to Middle Tennessee State in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT. Holy Cross was nipped by Yale. Army and Colgate both suffered two losses on opening weekend.
Tournament Play
Patriot League teams will participate in nine different tournaments during the regular season. A few highlights in tourney action are the Preseason WNIT, Maggie Dixon Classic and Christmas City Classic.
Lafayette accepted its first-ever invite to play in the Preseason WNIT. The Leopards' first opponent was Middle Tennessee State. The Leopards second of three games will be at Western Carolina. Army will participate in the Maggie Dixon Classic, which will be held at Madison Square Garden for the second year in a row on Sunday, Dec. 14. Also for the second-consecutive year Army will face Rutgers in a classic dedicated to former Army Head Coach Maggie Dixon. Lehigh is the only Patriot League team to host a tournament on its home court doing so Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 29-30 with the Christmas City Classic. Participants include North Florida, La Salle and Valparaiso.

Patriot League rosters for the 2008-09 season include student-athletes from 31 of the 50 states.
2009 Patriot League Tournament
The 2009 Patriot League Women's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinal and Semifinals will be held in Bethlehem, Pa. at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena. Lehigh has previously hosted the tournament in 1992, 97, 05. The tournament is a full-field event with all eight teams competing for the championship title. Quarterfinal action will take place on Saturday, March 7, with semifinal games on Sunday, March 8. The 2009 Patriot League Women's Basketball Championship game will be played on Wednesday, March 11 at the site of the highest remaining seed. The Patriot League champion will earn the Patriot League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Team Notebooks
American The Eagles are the only team in the League with a 2-0 record after the first weekend of action. American went on the road to defeat NJIT before scoring an impressive home victory over Drexel. Talicia Jackson knocked down three three-pointers over the weekend, putting her 31 away from the school record. In addition to picking up a pair of wins, the Eagles gained valuable experience as five freshman saw the floor during the weekend. The Eagles will put their unblemished record on the line against a challenging schedule this week. American will host Howard on Wednesday before traveling to the Minnesota Tournament in Minneapolis.
Army The Black Knights are 0-2 for the first time since the 2001-02 campaign after losses to Wagner and Ohio State. Army led for nearly the entire game at Wagner, but the Seahawks knocked down the game-winning shot with 2.9 seconds left to edge the Black Knights. Army then suffered a 92-58 setback to Ohio State on Sunday. Army will be at home for the first time this season when it host Maryland-Eastern Shore on Wednesday. The Black Knights will then host Loyola on Sunday.
Bucknell Defending champion Bucknell earned a road win in its first contest of the season, knocking off George Mason in Fairfax, Va. Senior guard Amanda Brown torched the Patriots for 22 points to lead all scorers. The Bison hit the road again this week, travling to Yale on Tuesday before playing at Fordham on Saturday.
Colgate The Raiders were dealt a pair of losses last weekend, falling at home to Mount St. Mary's on Friday before dropping a 68-56 contest at Rider on Sunday. Freshman Candice Green averaged nine points per outing in her first two collegiate contests, while Sami Kozlowski scored a game-high 26 points against Rider. The Raiders have three games on the slate this week. Colgate will host Binghamton on Wednesday before welcoming St. Francis (N.Y.) to Hamilton on Saturday. The Raiders will then travel to South Carolina for a Monday match-up with Presbyterian.
Holy Cross The preseason favorites in the Patriot League were beaten in heartbreaking fashion on opening weekend. Holy Cross suffered a 65-63 defeat at the hands of Yale on Saturday. Preseason Player of the Year Briana McFadden scored 24 points and hauled in seven rebounds in defeat. The Crusaders will host Boston College on Tuesday and Harvard on Thursday.
Lafayette The Leopards were dealt a 85-47 loss by Middle Tennessee State in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT. Making her first start since January 16, Emily Garner scored 13 points for the Leopards. Lafayette will remain on the road in Preseason WNIT action. The Leopards will travel to Western Carolina for a Friday match-up.
Lehigh Lehigh scored a convincing 83-52 win over Penn on Friday before dropping a 71-63 contest at Saint Joseph's on Sunday. Patriot League Player of the Week Erica Prosser averaged 18 points per game, while freshman Alexa Williams averaged seven points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The Mountain Hawks will play at Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday before traveling to St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.
Navy First-year head coach Stephanie Pemper garnered her first victory at Navy with a 59-49 win at Howard. That followed a 63-48 defeat at home to Ohio. The Mids made 21-of-25 free throws against Howard, including 17-of-19 in the second half to secure the victory. Navy will play at Winston-Salem State on Wednesdday before playing at the Tyler Ugolyn Columbia Classic in New York this weekend.
