Center Valley, Pa. - The Patriot League and CBS College Sports Network announced Wednesday that a dozen League basketball games will appear on the network in the 2009-2010 season. The package includes 10 men's and two women's contests, and features a matchup on seven regular-season League weekends as well as three Patriot League Tournament games.

Two Patriot League Men's Basketball Tournament games will be shown on CBS College Sports Network, with a quarterfinal contest on March 3 at 7 p.m. and a semifinal game aired on March 7 at 8 p.m. The Patriot League Women's Basketball Championship game will be shown on CBS College Sports on March 13 at 6 p.m.

"We are pleased to feature Patriot League regular-season and Championship basketball contests on CBS College Sports," Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich said. "The package will enhance our long-term partnership with CBS College Sports and increase television exposure to a national audience for regular and post-season Patriot League competition."

The men's basketball action tips off on CBS College Sports Network on Jan. 14, with Lehigh traveling to Annapolis to take on Navy at 7 p.m. Another contest will follow that weekend, as Colgate goes to two-time defending champion American on Jan. 17 at 2 p.m.

The women take over the following weekend, with American visiting Holy Cross on Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. The action stays in Worcester the next Sunday, as the Crusader men will host Lehigh in a Noon tip on Jan. 31.

Five Patriot League men's basketball games will be broadcast on CBS College Sports Network in February. It starts with a trip to Army on Super Bowl Sunday, as the Black Knights play host to Colgate in a 2 p.m. tip-off on Feb. 7. Bucknell will appear twice in the next week, as the Bison are at American at 7 p.m. on Feb. 11 and play host to Holy Cross at 2 p.m. on Feb. 14.

The final two weekends will feature a "flex" game for the CBS College Sports appearance. On Feb. 21, either the American at Holy Cross, Colgate at Bucknell or Lehigh at Lafayette contest will be shown at 2 p.m. Any of the four matchups on the final regular-season date are available for flex scheduling, with Lafayette at American, Bucknell at Army, and Navy at Colgate or Holy Cross at Lehigh shown in a 4 p.m. tip-off on Feb. 27.

Patriot League basketball teams open non-League action on Nov. 13, with the first League contests set for Jan. 9.

The basketball package adds to the Patriot League's coverage on CBS College Sports Network, which includes full coverage of the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Tournament as well as two regular-season men's lacrosse contests.
