Bucknell's Molly Creamer

Bucknell's Molly Creamer

July 29, 2008

In Israel and later in Hungary, Molly Creamer had the same question posed to her often.

What do Americans think of us?

Creamer, of Mendham, went to those countries as a basketball player after a stellar college career at Bucknell yet became a student again when socializing with teammates and friends.

The 26-year-old found those situations somewhat uncomfortable initially. However, she soon came to regard them as fascinating.

"Basketball's been a great experience," Creamer said. "It's a tool that has enabled me to grow as a person. I've played with and against people from all over the world. I've talked to people over coffee, in cafes. People from other countries are anxious to know how they are perceived by us."
