CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Sixty-one student-athletes, including American’s Alexis Dobbs, the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, have been named to the 2013 Patriot League Women’s Basketball Academic Honor Roll.

Dobbs, a junior, recorded a 3.64 spring grade-point average in public health. She is joined on the Academic Honor Roll by five student-athletes who earned perfect 4.0s or higher in the spring semester. Three of those selections are seniors from Bucknell, including Ashley Baxter, an environmental studies major, elementary education major Lindsay Horbatuck and Rachel Voss, a management major. Army freshman Bridget Ryan, who has not declared a major, logged a 4.035 GPA in the spring, while fellow freshman Morgan Miller of Lafayette, a mathematics-economics major, recorded a 4.0.

Holy Cross and Lehigh led the way with 11 honor roll selections each, followed by Bucknell and Lafayette with 10 apiece. American placed seven and Colgate six, while Army and Navy had three selections each. In addition, all six members of the Academic All-League team announced in March appear on the honor roll.

To be eligible for the Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League’s winter or spring championship sports.
