2012 Patriot League Women's Basketball Academic Honor Roll
Center Valley, Pa. - Fifty student-athletes, including American's Alexis Dobbs, the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, have been named to the 2012 Patriot League Women's Basketball Academic Honor Roll.
Dobbs recorded a 3.82 spring grade-point average in biology. She is joined on the Academic Honor Roll by three student-athletes who earned perfect 4.0s or higher in the spring semester. Dobbs' teammate, freshman Jen Dumiak, garnered a 4.0 during the spring term while majoring in Biochemistry, as did Bucknell junior Ashley Baxter, an Environmental Studies major, and Lafayette senior Alexandra Serowoky, a Design Studies major. In addition, there were four student-athletes named to the honor roll who were also selected to the Women's Basketball Academic All-Patriot League team in February.
American and Lehigh led all Patriot League schools with 10 student-athletes each on the Academic Honor Roll. Bucknell placed nine student-athletes on the list, followed by Lafayette with eight.
To be eligible for the Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
