CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Sixty-six student-athletes, including American's Alexis Dobbs, a three-time Scholar-Athlete of the Year, have been named to the 2014 Patriot League Women's Basketball Academic Honor Roll.

Dobbs recorded a 3.79 spring grade-point average in public health. She is joined on the Academic Honor Roll by seven student-athletes who earned perfect 4.0s or higher in the spring semester. Three of those selections are also from American, including junior Jen Dumiak, a mathematics and economics major, senior elementary education major Sarah Kiely and Geleisa George, a senior special education major. Army sophomore Bridget Ryan, an economics major, logged a 4.08 GPA in the spring and Colgate freshman Jackie Hudepohl had a 4.06. Boston University senior education major Danielle Callahan and Loyola University Maryland's Nicole Krusen, a graduate student in emerging media, also recorded 4.0 GPAs.

Six student-athletes have appeared on the Patriot League Women's Basketball Academic Honor Roll at least four times. American's George has made the list on five occasions while teammates Dobbs and Kiely have been on the honor roll for four consecutive seasons. Holy Cross' Christine Ganser and a pair from Lehigh, Lindsay Hoskins and Hilary Weaver, also made the list for each of the past four years.

Lehigh led the way with 12 honor roll selections, followed by American with nine. Colgate placed eight, Loyola seven and Army and Holy Cross had six selections apiece. In addition, all five members of the Academic All-League team announced in March appear on the honor roll.

To be eligible for the Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
