For the first time in her career Navy's Margaret Knap took home a Patriot League weekly award, being named Baden Player of the Week on Monday. Holy Cross' Bethany O'Dell, the Patriot League Baden Rookie of the Week, is no stranger to weekly awards as this is her second-consecutive and fourth overall.

Baden Player of the Week
Margaret Knap, Navy Sr., G, Chicago, Ill.

Knap netted a career-high 27 points to lead all scorers in Saturday's game against Bucknell. The senior guard shot 57.9% from the floor versus the Bison and drained three from beyond the arc. In mid-week action, she had 13 points, including nine from long range, in a win over Winston-Salem State. For the week the veteran Mid has nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals. This is Knap's first-ever Patriot League weekly award.

Baden Rookie of the Week
Bethany O'Dell, Holy Cross Fr., G, Lincoln, R.I.

For the second-straight week and fourth time this season, O'Dell takes home the Patriot League Baden Rookie of the Week award. In a win over Lafayette, she matched a career-high with 24 points, going 8-for-11 from the floor. From 3-point range, the freshman guard connected on 5-of-7 attempts. She also contributed five boards, two assists and one steal.

Had a career-high eight assists to go along with eight points, six boards and four steals in the win over Navy.

Patriot League Notebook

ESPNU Spotlight
The women will take over the ESPNU spotlight this week with two Patriot League games being aired nationally...First up is a Tuesday night matchup between second-place Army and Holy Cross, which is tied for third in the Patriot League standings...The 5 p.m. game at West Point will be called by Dave Ryan with Nancy Lieberman serving as the color analyst.

Tuesday will mark the second contest between the Black Knights and Crusaders this season...On Jan. 10, Army earned a 62-49 win over Holy Cross on the road...Holy Cross holds a 23-9 advantage over Army in Patriot League regular-season games, dating back to the 1990-91 season.

The ESPNU cameras will turn on again this Friday in Lewisburg, Pa. for a 4:30 p.m. game between Bucknell and Holy Cross...Play-by-play will be covered by Bob Socci with Leah Secondo providing the color.

Double Trouble
Since Patriot League play began in early January, 13 double-doubles have been recorded by nine different student-athletes.

Navy's Carly Meyer leads the way with three double-doubles in Patriot League games, while teammate Kate Hobbs and Bucknell's Hope Foster each have two.

Of the 13 double-doubles, Foster was the only student-athlete to have 20+ points, while Lehigh Adrienne Blount reached the highest rebound total with 15 boards.

"This was a good win for us, and I want our girls to enjoy it tonight, but we have to think about Holy Cross very quickly. They are playing much better now and will present a difficult challenge on Tuesday." - said Army Head Coach Dave Magarity after a win over Colgate on Saturday.

"I think we really stepped it up defensively in the second half. We just had to buckle down because we knew they couldn't handle our pressure." - said Bucknell sophomore Lauren Schober after a win on Saturday about the Bison defense that forced 26 Navy turnovers.

Patriot League Tournament
The 2007 Patriot League Women's Basketball Tournament will take place Saturday-Sunday, March 3-4 and Wednesday, March 7...The quarterfinal (March 3) and semifinal (March 4) rounds will be held in Annapolis, Md. at Navy's Alumni Hall...The championship game (March 7) will be played on the home court of the highest remaining seed and will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Patriot League All-Access
The Patriot League and College Sports Television has announced Patriot League All-Access, which will offer more than 100 Patriot League women's basketball regular season and tournament games via the Internet beginning in January 2007.

Live video for all Patriot League games, excluding contests being aired on ESPNU will be available through www.PatriotLeague.com for $6.95 a month.

American Sophomore Nicole Ryan netted a season-high 20 points and sunk three from long range in American's loss to Lehigh on Saturday...Down by as many as 20 points, the Eagles were able to cut it to a seven-point loss, outscoring the Mountain Hawks 41-30 in the second half...Junior Liz Hayes contributed 11 points and a team-high seven assists, while sophomore Anna Baran had five steals...American will host Bucknell on Tuesday...The Eagles' last win over the Bison came in 2005, in the first meeting between the two teams that season.

Army Army notched a 65-48 victory over Colgate for the Black Knights' sixth-straight win over the Raiders at home...Sophomore Alex McGuire netted a game-high 18 points, shooting 50.0% from the field...McGuire recorded a career-high five steals...Junior Cara Enright also reached double-figure scoring with 13 points...Up next for Army is a Tuesday night matchup with Holy Cross at home that will be televised on ESPNU...The Black Knights earned a 62-49 win over the Crusaders on the road in the first half of Patriot League play.

Bucknell With a 76-66 win over Navy on Saturday, Bucknell is off to its second-consecutive 7-1 start in Patriot League play and has won a season-high four games in a row...The Bison put four of its five starters in double-digit scoring versus Navy, with sophomore Lauren Schober leading the way (16 points)...Junior Kesha Champion dished out a career-high eight assists and has eight points, six rebounds and four steals...For a career-best eighth-straight time, sophomore Amanda Brown scored 10+ points with 15...Bucknell will play at American on Tuesday...Earlier in the season, the Bison posted an eight-point win over the Eagles.

Colgate Colgate fell to Army on Saturday to open up the second half of Patriot League play...Junior Caitlin Gillard and sophomore Gretchen Polinski had 13 points apiece to lead the Raiders...Junior Molly Patterson added 11 points, while freshman TaHara Williams had a game-high five rebounds and three assists...Colgate will play the last contest in its three-game road swing at Lafayette on Tuesday...In early January, the Raiders earned a 64-57 win over the Leopards at home.

Holy Cross Holy Cross' 32-point win over Lafayette marked the greatest margin of victory in Patriot League play this season...The Crusaders shot 48.8% from the field and outrebounded the Leopards, 41-26...Freshman Bethany O'Dell matched a career-high with 24 points, going 8-for-11 from the field and 5-for-7 from 3-point range...Classmate Briana McFadden posted a career-high 20 points, netting three from beyond the arc...Senior Kaitlin Foley had 12 points, while senior Brittany Keil pulled down 10 boards...Holy Cross will play at Army on Tuesday, looking for its 24th win all-time over the Black Knights in Patriot League regular-season play.

Lafayette Lafayette moved to 1-1 versus Holy Cross this season with a road loss on Saturday...Junior Vanessa Van De Venter led the team with 14 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists...Sophomore Emily Garner had 11 points to go along with five rebounds...Garner connected on 5-of-8 attempts from the free throw line...Lafayette will return to Kirby Sports Center on Tuesday to face Colgate...The Leopards are 15-18 against the Raiders in Patriot League competition all-time.

Lehigh Lehigh posted its first Patriot League road win of the season with a 67-60 victory over American, giving Head Coach Sue Troyan her 79th career Patriot League win...Lehigh improved to 5-0 on the season when at least four starters reach double-figures, led by senior Sara Ellis' 16 points...Ellis also recorded seven helpers...Senior Adrienne Blount had 12 points, while senior Kaela Pearce and freshman Alex Ross each had 10...Lehigh welcomes Navy to Stabler Arena on Tuesday looking to avenge a 10-point loss to the Mids during the first half of Patriot League play.

Navy Senior Margaret Knap scored a career-high 27 points against Bucknell on Saturday for her fourth game of the season with 20+ points...Seniors Lindi Conner (10 points, 10 rebounds) and Carly Meyer (12, 10) both recorded a double-double, the first time this year two Mids accomplished the feat in the same game...With two blocks on Saturday, senior Kate Hobbs moved into third place at Navy with 85 career rejections...Navy will travel to Lehigh on Tuesday...The Mids defeated the Mountain Hawks, 54-44, in early January.
