CENTER VALLEY, Pa.- Junior guard Mariah Jones scored 23 points to help struggling Colgate surprise Army 71-60 on Wednesday night in Hamilton, N.Y.
The victory was the first in the last ten games for the Raiders and dropped Army 2.5 games behind first place Navy. The Mids defeated Lehigh 79-59 at Alumni Hall and American remained one game back in second place with a 69-44 home win over Boston University.
Bucknell defeated Loyola 70-49 at Sojka Pavilion and Holy Cross remained in a tie for fourth place with the Bison following a 90-76 win at Lafayette.
Navy clinched a home playoff game in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League playoffs by virtue of their win over the Mountain Hawks.
at Colgate 71, Army 60
Mariah Jones scored 23 points and Carole Harris added 13 points and 14 rebounds as Colgate snapped a nine-game losing streak Wednesday with a 71-60 win over Army in Hamilton, N.Y.
The Raiders raced to a 35-23 halftime lead and held the Black Knights to 30-percent shooting from the field.
The Colgate bench, led by 11 points from Randyll Butler, outscored the Army bench 21-2.
Holy Cross 90, at Lafayette 79
Raquel Scott scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead a balanced Holy Cross attack Wednesday night in a 90-79 win at Kirby Sports Center.

American limited Terriers senior forward Rashidat Agboola to 12 points and held Boston University to just 33% from the floor -- including 4-for-22 from behind the arc.

Chloe Stapleton and Jade Geif added 14 points apiece as the Mids shot over 50% from the field -- including a scorching 12-for-25 on three-point field goals.
