Center Valley, Pa.- With victories on Saturday, Holy Cross and Colgate locked up berths in the Patriot League Tournament. American joined them in the field with a win over Army on Monday. The three teams are all tied for first place with 13 points heading into the final regular season games on Saturday. The final tournament berth will be decided on Saturday as well, with Lafayette, Bucknell and Lehigh all in contention for the spot. Lafayette will earn the berth with a win or a tie against Holy Cross, while Bucknell and Lehigh need to win and get help elsewhere. Student-athletes from Bucknell, Colgate and Lafayette all won Patriot League BRINE Player of the Week honors.

BRINE Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 27-Nov. 2)
Conor O'Brien, Bucknell Jr., M, Mt. Sinai, N.Y.
O'Brien had a five-point week, scoring two goals in the 3-2 win over Lehigh and adding an assist in a 3-0 blanking of NJIT. A loss to Lehigh would have eliminated the Bison from the posteseason, and trailing 2-0 in the match, O'Brien netted a first half goal and then broke a 2-2 tie with the gamewinner in the 64th minute on a free kick.
BRINE Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 27-Nov. 2)
Dirk Swaneveld, Bucknell Sr., D, Blairstown, N.J.
Swaneveld's first goal of the season against Lehigh tied the game at 2-2 after the Bison trailed 2-0 earlier in the game. Swaneveld also contributed to a defense that shut out NJIT in a non-League game on Wednesday and kept Lehigh off the board for the final 80 minutes on Saturday.
BRINE Goalkeeper of the Week (Oct. 27-Nov. 2)
David Cappuccio, Colgate Sr., Pittsford, N.Y.
Cappuccio allowed one goal and had three saves in a 1-0 loss to a Duke squad that received votes in the NSCAA National Poll. Cappuccio had a strong performance against Patriot League opponent American, making seven saves while notching his sixth shutout of the season.
BRINE Rookie of the Week (Oct. 27-Nov. 2)
Shane Pruitt, Lafayette Fr., F, Venetia, Pa.
Pruitt scored the Leopards' third goal in a 3-0 win over Navy on Saturday. The freshman took three shots in the game, tied for the match-high. Pruitt leads all freshmen on the team with three goals and one assist on the season.

Five Patriot League Teams In NSCAA Regional Poll
Five Patriot League squads are ranked in the Nov. 4 NSCAA Middle Atlantic Regional Poll. Colgate is the top-ranked Patriot League team, coming in at fourth in the region. The Raiders are followed by Holy Cross (fifth), Lafayette (seventh) and American (ninth). Bucknell also received votes in the poll.
Army's Glubzinski Named Lowe's Senior CLASS Award Finalist
Army's A.J. Glubzinski is one of 10 finalists in the men's soccer division for the 2008 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, the organization announced Thursday. Glubzinski's name has been placed on the official ballot for a nationwide vote that began Oct. 16 and will conclude Nov. 19. Votes from coaches and media will be coupled with fan balloting to determine the recipient of the award. Fans can vote online during this time period at www.seniorclassaward.com. The winner will be announced during the NCAA Championship, December 12-14 in Frisco, Texas.
2008 Patriot League Tournament
The 2008 Patriot League Tournament will take place Friday and Sunday, November 14 and 16 at the site of the highest seed. The top four teams as determined by the regular-season standings will participate in the Patriot League tourney.
Team Notebooks
American
American went 1-2 last week, losing 4-2 to Virginia, 1-0 to Colgate but won 2-0 over Army to secure its Patriot League Tournament berth. The Eagles will next travel to Bucknell in the final regular season game on Saturday afternoon.
Army
The Black Knights lost two games last week, coming up short 2-0 to Sacred Heart and losing 3-1 to Holy Cross on Saturday, while losing 2-0 to American Monday afternoon. Army will host archrival Navy in its final game of the regular season on Friday evening on Fox Soccer Channel.
Bucknell
Bucknell beat NJIT 3-0 in Lewisburg on Wednesday, then came up with a big come-from-behind win over Patriot League opponent Lehigh, 3-2 on Saturday. The Bison will play their final home game of the season against American on Saturday afternoon.
Colgate
The Raiders lost 1-0 at Duke on Tuesday, but came up with a big win over American on Saturday, defeating the Eagles 1-0. Colgate is now 4-1-1 in the Patriot League and will host Lehigh on Saturday night in the final game of the regular season.
Holy Cross
Holy Cross had two big wins last week, defeating Boston College 1-0 in double overtime on Tuesday and beating Army 3-1 in Worcester on Saturday. The Crusaders will play their final game of the regular season at Patriot League opponent Lafayette on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Lafayette
The Leopards shut out Navy 3-0 in Patriot League action on Saturday afternoon. NJIT is up next on the docket for Lafayette, followed by a big game Saturday afternoon against Holy Cross.
Lehigh
Lehigh lost 3-2 to Bucknell on Saturday as the Bison cut a 2-0 deficit and won a tight game. The Mountain Hawks will travel to Colgate on Saturday for the final regular season game.
Navy
Navy lost its final regular season home game 3-0 to Patriot League opponent Lafayette on Saturday. The Mids will face archrival Army in the final game of the season for both squads on Friday evening on Fox Soccer Channel.
