Center Valley, Pa. - Colgate University sophomore David Cappuccio (Pittsford, N.Y.) was named the Patriot League BRINE Goalkeeper the Week for the week ending October 15.
Cappuccio earned his second honor of the year from the Patriot League after stopping a penalty kick in a 0-0 tie with American on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Cappuccio extended his shutout streak to 835:55 which dates back to last season. He is now fifth in the NCAA records book in all-time consecutive shutout minutes.
He leads the nation in goals against average and save percentage, as the only keeper who has played the majority of his team's minutes and not given up a goal this season.
Colgate hosts Cornell on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. The game will be webcast live on Colgate All-Access.
