Center Valley, Pa.--Two Patriot League men's soccer players were honored this week by College Soccer News, as Bucknell senior midfielder Connor O'Brien and Lafayette junior forward B.J. Glenn were named to the publication's Team of the Week. Each week, College Soccer News picks 11 players for the national recognition.
In the second week of the season, O'Brien continued to come up with the big plays on the offensive side of the ball necessary for Bucknell victories. He scored the winning goals in the Bison's 1-0 wins over Hartwick and Syracuse in the Mayor's Cup. Bucknell is now 4-1-0.
After missing the first three contests of the year due to injury, Glenn made his presence known when he returned to the pitch. He scored a goal in Lafayette's 2-0 win over Fordham. He followed that up by providing the game-wining strike in the Leopards' 1-0 win over Binghamton.
Lafayette, which currently owns the best record among Patriot League teams, will resume action this weekend in Evanston, Ill. The Leopards will play Northern Illinois and Northwestern in the Lakeside Classic. Bucknell will return to the pitch on Sunday when the Bison host the College of Charleston.
