EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's soccer team (1-1) will travel to North Carolina to compete in the UNC Greensboro Kickoff Classic on Friday and Sunday. The Leopards will face Davidson on Friday and host UNC Greensboro on the final day of the tournament.

Lafayette enters this weekend with a 1-1 record after hosting the seventh-annual Puma Soccer Classic on Aug. 31 and Sept. 2. The Leopards were victorious in their season-opening match, defeating St. Francis 2-1 on a game-winning goal by freshman B.J. Glenn, whose performance during the tournament earned him Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors.

The team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to St. Peter's on the final day of the tournament. Senior midfielder Mike Tilley scored the lone goal for the Leopards, his second score of the season. For their efforts, Tilley and Glenn earned spots on the All-Tournament team while Tilley also received honorable mention from the Patriot League.

Davidson currently has a 0-2 record after losing to St. Mary's and San Jose State at the Davidson adidas Classic. Greensboro, meanwhile, is 1-1 on the season with a win over Georgetown and a loss to James Madison at the JMU Tournament.

Following this weekend's tournament, Lafayette is back in action when the team travels to Philadelphia to take part in the Penn Soccer Classic on Sept. 14 and 16.
